This business was born out of my life-long passion for textiles, for the textiles that I have found here in France, mostly pre-20th century, and the people who grew the fibre, spun and wove it into cloth, and stitched that cloth into useable pieces. I sell these pieces, but I also write about them and what they tell me. I write and sell both on here and on Instagram, but am increasingly aiming to keep my in-depth writing on Substack.
Because of the way I work, you will need to communicate with me in order to purchase anything. I sell both here and on Instagram, and for many clients I hold paid-for orders for up to three months, to allow grouped postage which can bring the shipping costs down considerably. Postage cannot be automatically calculated and you will need to contact me to discuss.
I use La Poste for smaller items, and for larger and more valuable parcels, depending on destination, I use a freight service. I strongly recommend insurance always, as anything uninsured cannot be followed-up if it goes missing.
Most of the pieces I sell are decades old, and many are far older. They exhibit the wear and tear you would expect from antique pieces. I extensively photograph and describe each piece. If in doubt about the suitability of something, please ask, Iām always happy to discuss.

Refunds will be offered in limited circumstances if the item does not match description, but not on marked sale items and not for a change of mind. All returned items must be sent, at customer cost, by insured mail to my return address. Any customs charges incurred on the returned item from French customs will be deducted from the refund amount. All returned items must reach me in the same state they left my hands - clean, unused, and ironed. To request a refund, please email me. Please be aware I keep images of everything that I sell.
