Very fine pure linen hand-embroided handkerchief initial 'F'
A single exquisite handkerchief made from very fine linen, with a drawn-thread hand-stitched border (this alone must have taken hours) and an intricate letter ‘F’ done in minute embroidery in a style which comes from the area around Tours. Late 19th or very early 20th century. This could only have been the property of someone with a lot of wealth. It is in perfect condition and probably hasn’t ever met a nose. It measures 39cm square.
