*Sale* Little corset cover from the late 19th century
This is displayed on my larger mannequin despite being a little too small, because it hangs off my smaller mannequin. This was made to go over a corset, and so is a small size. Hand-embroidered cutwork front with slots for a ribbon to be threaded through, and an inset border and straps of mechnical netting lace. Small damage on one strap where the lace has come unstitched from the embroidered strap, no loss though. A couple of very small breaks in the netting under the arms, but generally this is in good strong condition. It does up with mother of pearl buttons. Lying flat, it measures 43cm from armpit to armpit and 29cm across the waist. Its shape tells me it’s from around 1880-90.
