Handwoven hemp grain sack with blue stripes #2
This beautiful piece is Hungarian, and dates from the first half of the 20th century. Wonderful thick handspun hemp woven in a striped herringbone pattern, with three deep blue stripes on each side. This is in excellent condition, the colour is a very soft oatmeal. It would make a marvellous cushion or laundry bag. It measures 46×112cm.
