{3V} Handwoven linen grainsack with wonderful patches - initial D
A 19th century grainsack, possibly German, made from handspun and handwoven linen. This is worn but still sturdy, and it has several really wonderful large patches plus multiple smaller visible stitched repairs. The owner’s name has been printed on one side but has faded with over a century of use, on the other side is a faded blue stain, possibly ink from a later addition of an owner’s name or mark. It has a little red initial D near the eyelet. It measures 65×119cm.
