{3J} 19th century handspun and handwoven pure linen grainsack with beautiful patch, initials FD

€70.00
Sold

I think this may be German but cannot be sure. It is a large grainsack, hand-stitched from handspun and handwoven linen. It has two patches, one on the same side as the red initials in one corner, the other, on the reverse side is a magnificent example of a window patch. It is slightly worn (hence why it has been patched) but very beautiful. It measures 71×119cm.
